Fantasy Street - WIP Week 15

Work In Progress / 26 March 2024

Continued with texturing the piece this week. added a couple of trees and bushes, created and added a water fountain by the school building. I also added a few surface imperfections to break the cleanliness of a few materials. Also added a wall from Quixel Bridge around the school


Next week I will be adding whatever finishing touches I can think of for the piece.

Fantasy Street - WIP Week 14

Work In Progress / 19 March 2024

This week I worked on the Materials for the piece. I created a landscape material with various info layers, and a number of tileable materials for the walls, roof, etc. I used the world position material method to ensure limited seams between pieces, and reworked the Blend files to straighten UVs.

I used textures from AmbientCG which uses the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal License. The Bazaar windows were created with 3DTudor's stained glass material pack.


Next week will be a continuation of materials including the School building.

Fantasy Street - WIP Week 13

Work In Progress / 12 March 2024

This week I continued with the PCG housing following along with a tutorial series by 'Procedural Minds' on YouTube. 

Scope creep for this project is getting a tad out of hand, for this 'simple' fantasy shopping street, so I will be creating doors for the opening for the housing, instead of having interiors, maybe if this was being used for a larger project I would, but this is just a composition piece. 



Next week I will be working on the landscape, and starting on the material generation.

This week, I created some modular housing pieces, and began using Unreals PCG to create a housing unit, following along with a tutorial series by 'Procedural Minds' on YouTube.

Fantasy Street - WIP Week 11

Work In Progress / 27 February 2024

This week, I went away for a few days, so only a small amount of work was done on this piece. I added the rails to the rest of the mezzanine and added the divider walls to the underside to split up the Bazaar space.



This next week will focus on some house buildings surrounding the Bazaar

Created the bazaar building with modular pieces.


The interior of the Bazaar will look alot like the below, with an upper floor mezzanine and divider walls between areas.


The next week will be spent filling out the floor and walls of the interior.
